The City of Brazoria owns and operates a sanitary treatment plant and collection system that is permitted by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. The Collection system was originally installed in the late 1950's with a new treatment plant built in 1983 on property provided by a local resident. Today we have 3 certified operators that run the system on a routine basis. The system is operated under the standards as required by the State of Texas and the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
