Today that system serves approximately 3200 citizens. it is operated by 4 certified operators according to regulations issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Our staff strives to provide a safe and quality product for you to drink.
In 1985, in an effort to prevent subsidence of land, the City of Brazoria entered into a partnership with 6 other cities and started utilizing surface water provided by the Brazosport Water Authority. Today that partnership is evolving into new ventures with studies being performed to treat saltwater and utilize it as drinkable product.
